Personal retreat days are available for individuals throughout the year.

You have two options to register:

2. Register by mail with a check

To avoid fees, you may mail a check for the full retreat fee to:

Checks must be received at least one week prior to the retreat date to secure your spot.

We recommend using Certified Mail or a shipping method with tracking.

Cancellation Policy for Events - Bethany Retreat Center

We understand that plans change.

Below is our cancellation policy for all day, weekend, and weeklong retreats:

Cancellations within 72 hours' notice

Guests who cancel at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled arrival date and time will receive a full refund of any payment made.

Cancellations with less than 72 hours' notice

Guests who cancel less than 72 hours prior to arrival will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. Any remaining balance paid will be refunded.

Event cancellations by Bethany Retreat Center

In the rare case that an event is canceled by us, a full refund will be issued to all registered guests.

If you have any questions or need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible.

In Person Retreats

Virtual Centering Prayer

Let Sr. Ruth Ann and Beth guide you as you are introduced to the practice of Centering Prayer.

This retreat is free, but registration is required.

Stations of the Cross

You are warmly invited to join us for a morning of prayer, scripture, and reflection as we journey the Stations of the Cross together. We will walk the outdoor trail to the cross on the hill, combining the beauty of nature with this sacred tradition.

11th Step Retreat

This retreat will offer an environment of solitude and silence in community with time for reflection, fellowship and 12 Step meetings. We will present Introduction to Centering Prayer in the context of 12-Step recovery.

Spiritual Directed Retreat

Spiritual direction or spiritual companionship is a process guided by the Holy Spirit in which two people enter into a unique conversation. The spiritual director or guide is trained to listen in a particular way to hear where God is present and acting in the life of another. This “holy listening” approaches each person’s life and story as sacred.

Poetry Retreat

Using poetry as a practice allows us a way in—a way to observe and discover deeper truths about the natural and spiritual worlds. Join us on this path of observation, reflection, laughter, empathy, enlightenment—and writing! No prior poetry experience is needed— this workshop will provide a way in for you.

The Non-Violent Jesus

Join us for a powerful and reflective retreat exploring The Beatitudes as the heart of Jesus’ message of nonviolence, compassion, and peace.

Centering Prayer - Six Day Retreat

Rooted in the ancient Christian tradition, the goal of this form of Christian prayer is to foster a deeper intimacy with Christ through the silence and stillness of contemplative prayer.

Centering Prayer Series

Join Sr. Ruth Ann and Beth for our Centering Prayer Retreat Weekends, designed to support your spiritual journey in a warm and welcoming environment. Rather than a set every-other-month series, these retreats will be offered at select times throughout the year—each one an opportunity to enter more deeply into the practice.

Adult Service Weekend

Young People Who Care is inviting adult Alumni and friends of the YPWC Service Program to come for a weekend of service this summer! Connect and reconnect with other YPWC Alumni while serving the communities in our surrounding area.

Centering Prayer - Eight Day Retreat

Rooted in the ancient Christian tradition, the goal of this form of Christian prayer is to foster a deeper intimacy with Christ through the silence and stillness of contemplative prayer.

Icon Writing Workshop Retreat

Join us for a sacred and creative retreat experience as we explore the spiritual art of iconography with Peter Pearson, renowned iconographer, priest, and teacher.

Contemplative Attitudes

This is an Intensive Centering Prayer Retreat based on the work of David Frenette in his seminal book, The Path of Centering Prayer, hailed by Fr. Thomas Keating as, ‘The best, most comprehensive and most practical book on Centering Prayer.’

Private Retreat

This is an opportunity to book a private retreat at Bethany Retreat Cetner.

Mary Retreat

Mary, daughter of the Eternal Father, was born without sin to become the New Eve. At her fiat, the Holy Spirit filled her with life, and the Son of God rested within her womb. Later, Jesus gifted us her motherly presence from the Cross. Ultimately, a deep devotion to Mary enriches our daily lives and draws us closer to her Son.

Drumming Retreat

As part of our Fall Drumming Retreat, participants will create their own leather Medicine Shield as a symbol of their personal spiritual journey.

Dimensions of Loss

Part of the human condition is the reality of loss—through death, loss of livelihood, terminated communication with loved ones, moving to a new location, closing a place of worship, or experiencing disabling health issues, to name but a few.

Advent / Centering Prayer

This retreat is designed for those with an established daily practice of centering prayer who wish to deepen the transforming love of God in the midst of silence and solitude.

Labyrinth Retreat

The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool that has existed for thousands of years. As a walking meditation, its winding path can symbolize a pilgrim’s walk with God.

Weekly virtual retreat every Tuesday

Bring Centering Prayer into your home with our Bethany Virtual Centering Prayer.

The virtual centering prayer begins with 20 minutes of Centering Prayer followed by book discussion.

Personal Retreats

When the schedule permits, individuals and groups are welcome to avail themselves of the prayerful atmosphere of the retreat center for a day or for overnight stays. Arrangements are tailored to the needs and desires of the individual or group.
