History
Young People Who Care Direct Service is a ministry of Anawim, founded in 1976 in Frenchville, PA, Clearfield County. Under the leadership of Sr. Therese Dush, youth and adults from the Diocese of Erie came together to form a mission dedicated to serving the needs of Clearfield County residents.

As a volunteer-based organization, Young People Who Care Direct Service began by reaching out to those in need through practical support such as home repairs, cleaning, transportation to medical appointments, and other essential services not readily available through existing agencies. This work continues today, rooted in compassion, dignity, and community care.
