About this retreat
The Retreat will focus on the stages of grieving that comes with a broken relationship. Using Scripture, you will have time to reflect on ways to work through the pain of estrangement, relieve the overwhelming thoughts of how we were hurt, and begin to heal the pain.

About the facilitator
Karen Blaisdell
Karen Blaisdell received her certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Institute of Ministry Formation at Saint Vincent College and Seminary in 2023 and has a growing spiritual direction practice.
Recently retired from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Ebensburg, PA; Karen taught Religion and Art for 13 years as well as being Campus Minister.

As a member of Our Mother of Sorrows (OMOS) parish, Karen has been involved in the Alpha Course as a helper and host for both in-person and online Alpha, is a prayer minister and a member of the Liturgy of the Word team. Karen also teaches adult faith formation classes including Catholic Social Teaching, Church History and “Emotionally Healthy Discipleship” and offers spiritual retreats.

Karen is married to Michael and they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in December. Their family has recently grown from three adult children; Eben, Maggie, and Ely, to four; with the addition of Maggie’s husband Bill.

As an artist, Karen utilizes her talents as a graphic designer, lettering artist and budding iconographer, concentrating on sacred art.
